Jeff Ross got his professional start in music working for underground radio station KZEL-FM, a Billboard Magazine Small Market Station of the Year. Jeff booked and promoted concerts by Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Mingus, Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck, Robert Cray, Pat Metheny, Cal Tjader, Ted Curson, Oregon, Kenny Burrell, Eddie Jefferson, Bob Dorough and many others.
